Omega-3 fatty acids
Prospects for the discovery of anti-cancer properties of omega-3 fatty acids

Omega-3 is a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are known as excellent oxidizers of "harmful" animal fats in the body.

For a long time, polyunsaturated fatty acids are used in medicine to prevent and treat atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, to treat obesity, rejuvenate the body and increase longevity.

Omega-3 fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids include:

alpha linolenic acid;
dekosahexaenoic acid;
eicosapentaenoic acid.

These acids are found in large quantities in sea fish, most of all in fish oil. As a result of research, it was found that eicospentaenoic acid blocks the growth and development of a cancer.

Prospects for the discovery of anti-cancer properties of omega-3 fatty acids

In addition to the discovery, the researchers synthesized artificial omega-3 – EPA, which in experimental studies turned out to be even more active than that extracted from marine fish.

Scientists believe that the new discovery has the following perspectives:

the creation of an effective biological drug for the treatment of prostate cancer, which will not have adverse toxic effects on the body;
the development of a diet that includes in the diet of sea fish, fish oil for patients with prostate cancer;
Inclusion in the prostate cancer prevention program of a diet with regular consumption of marine fish, especially among men at risk, with chronic prostate diseases or hereditary predisposition.

In parallel with this, scientists conducted their clinical studies among the male population of elderly and elderly, and found that people on a vegetarian diet that includes a sufficient amount of sea fish, are 85% less likely to develop prostate cancer, as well as intestinal cancer.
