Cholesterol is not the most pleasant thing to maintain health, especially if its level has exceeded the norm. However, a new study from the American Heart Association has clearly demonstrated that its presence in no less than a certain indicator is useful and even necessary to maintain a healthy body tone. In particular, the study was built around studying the relationship between low cholesterol and the risk of developing and developing hemorrhagic heart attack in women – and the results of the preliminary phase of the study showed that low cholesterol can significantly increase this risk, especially over time.
The scientific community came to such conclusions shortly after analyzing the results of several previous studies on the real threat to the health of the cardiovascular system of women with cholesterol consumption of less than 70 mg / dm, which is about 30 gm less than the standard indicator. Then it seemed that lowering the specific level of cholesterol should lead to the fact that the heart muscle and blood vessels will work better, however, the results were exactly the opposite.
Today’s study, published in the scientific journal Neurology, illustrated the direct relationship between the risk of heart attack and low cholesterol in the blood – and on the basis of the experiment it was found that women aged 25 to 45 years have an increased risk of developing a heart attack with excessively low consumption about 2.2 times cholesterol.
At the same time, more than 28,000 volunteers participated in the study, who have different health indicators and characteristics of the reaction to various chemical components. But in all cases of consumption of an excessively low cholesterol, it was noted that the long-term processes associated with memory and the work of the heart muscle were somewhat difficult, which may become the final cause of the development of an early risk of a heart attack.
